I found Grace Lawrence's first book Stress Relief Foods and Recipes extremely helpful. So I was really happy to see that she wrote a new book about Smoothies and Stress Relief. Knowing what foods are good for stress relief is one thing. But getting recipes that show you how to easily combine stress-relieving fruits, veggies and other ingredients in easy-to-make smoothies is a real time saver! Grace always tells you the specific benefits of each ingredient. And her recipes are really tasty. I had all of the ingredients for the Blueberry Vanilla Smoothie so I made that this morning and it was really good! Some other recipes that look good are: Peach Smoothie, Chai Tea Smoothie (I love Chai Tea!), Raspberry & Basil Smoothie and the Chocolate Berry Smoothie. Those are just a few of the recipes that look good to me. There are many more.

One word....YUMMY! My family loves smoothies. This helped me get more creative and tasty recipes. Haven't tried all 21... But if it can inspire yummy creations not just for me, but my whole family...it's great!
I'm very much into Green Smoothies so I know the health benefits of consuming fresh fruits and veggies. This book was interesting because it has some really yummy looking recipe combinations. I haven't tried any of them yet but I look forward to doing so this weekend) Good book and excellent price!
There are tons of smoothie recipes out there and this just didn't add all that much to the smoothie world. If you don't make a lot of smoothies or are just getting into smoothies it's helpful but I do a lot of smoothies so I didn't find much new here.

I enjoyed some of these smoothies, the ones with the basic ingredients. Some of the combinations were a little bit out there for me and I just didn't enjoy those. The book did give me basic measurements and I've been experimenting with my own combos and enjoying the experience. The author does explain why she combines certain items and what they target, so I appreciated that information. Smoothies are fun to make and my kids enjoyed helping, easy family fun. If they can relieve stress too? Sign me up.
This has interesting information about stress, beside the smoothie recipes in a short, easy to read format. This probably isn't for the diehard, vegan, raw user. This is more like real food for the average person. Actually a lot of the recipes would pass for vegetarian, but this is because of the contents of the smoothie, not actual intent, I think. I really like it, because it utilizes food I like eating, and that I would have on hand. I'm good with real milk, yogurt, and cottage cheese. I think if you just want to add some smoothies to your life, you'll enjoy this. And, it doesn't require the super blender to make. Although, I have to tell you, smoothies make easier with the Ninja!
